Welcome to the 16th Kanass HazMat/WMD Symposium.  I'm especially pleased to welcome you this year to Overland Park.  I believe you will find the facilities as well as presenters first-class.  The City of Overland Park also provides many fine restaurants and for those spouses of significant others who may want to make the trip but do not plan to attend the workshops, the City also offers many wonderful places to shop.

This years lineup of presenters posses an incredible amount of expertise in their subject area. In addition, they all have very good presentation skills. We also believe the topics this year are of a timely nature. Combined these and this Symposium should truly be an outstanding educational event.

For Kansas responders, the generous contributions by our co-sponsors once again makes this symposium at no cost to you. Without our sponsors, you could expect to pay as much as $200 for a Symposium of this caliber. . For our out-of-state guests, we believe the minimal registration fee is a bargain by any standard and that you will . not be disappointed in making the trip to Kansas.
